Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, “& all that stuff”

I’ve been a horrible blogger! Tis the season! Fall is crazy for me, and all photographers, well actually all moms, well just everybody. I can’t seem to keep my head above water, with shopping for everyone (although I do most of it online these days, yay for Amazon Prime and Target Redcard free shipping!), sessions, editing, ordering, kids out of school, etc. It’s funny though, I used to be dying for school to start again because I would get overstimulated and burned out on the chaos, but now that my kids are getting older, I’m dreading them going back. Early wake ups, packing lunches, homework, no thanks! I’m enjoying playing board games, watching movies, and sleeping in.  Anyway, back to reality next week, but that also means onto winter NEWBORNS! Yeah! Tomorrow is my first newborn session of 2015 and I’m ready to snuggle some sweet babes. 🙂

Speaking of sweet babes, before my rambling, my intention was to post my holiday card of my own sweeties (lazy iphone photos of my card that is). My oldest opted out (begged out) this year but I snuck her in on the back. Then when the cards came in, she admitted it was weird without her. YES! I WAS RIGHT! She is starting to realize that I’m usually right haha.

So, onto 2015. I can’t wait to work with amazing clients- repeat clients, new clients, wonderful families. How lucky am I that my job allows me to document precious moments for people, as they zoom through this life. Grateful. I also feel that 2015 will be a great year for me personally. Last year was tough, but it made me recognize my own strength, appreciate my support system, learn to be gracious, humble, forgiving, and compassionate even when it’s difficult to do so, and hug my kids so tight every day. I have more work to do, on myself, on my journey through this life, but I choose to make it count, to learn and grow and continue to look at the glass half full. 🙂

So now that I’ve rambled more, oops, Happy New Year friends, and all that stuff. (my 7 year old often adds “and all that stuff” onto her sentences, she picked it up from her dad. So cute.)
